I'll be found in you...

Brooke Fraser- Shadowfeet..

Walking, stumbling on these shadowfeet
Toward home, a land that I've never seen
I am changing
Less and less asleep
Made of different stuff than when I began
And I
have sensed it all along
Fast approaching is the day

When the world has fallen out from under me
I'll be found in you, still standing
When the sky rolls up and mountains fall on their knees
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you

There's distraction buzzing in my head
Saying in the shadows it's easier to stay
But I've heard rumours of true reality
Whispers of a well-lit way

When the world has fallen out from under me
I'll be found in you, still standing
When the sky rolls up and mountains fall on their knees
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you

You make all things new

When the world has fallen out from under me
I'll be found in you, still standing
When the sky rolls up and mountains fall on their knees
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you

When the world has fallen out from under me
I'll be found in you, still standing
Every fear and accusation under my feet
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you
When time and space are through
I'll be found in you

Choose life...but REALLY LIVE!

I was at a friend's wedding this past weekend and as the pastor was exhorting the couple he said, "Don't just be married; be REALLY married!" We all laughed, haha and moved on. But today the phrase "choose life..but REALLY LIVE," has been ringing in my ears.

Isn't it true that we all have been given the GIFT of life but that we always choose whether or not we really live. This generation is full of those who aren't really living. Maybe they're functioning by eating & sleeping but that doesn't mean they're really living. They're looking for truth but really they are looking, longing and searching for LIFE, and those who are ALIVE!

What does it mean to REALLY be ALIVE?? The breath in Hebrew is RUAH... It literally means that every time we breath in and out we are breathing in and out the very essence of God. I don't know about you but I want that breath to empower me to be all that I was intended to be at creation. I don't want to use the breath inside of me to believe doubts about God's love or to speak things out that don't edify and build someone up. What could we be if we chose, everyday, to REALLY LIVE!!

Romans 8:11 says, "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you!!"

So I pray the we would REALLY LIVE by the SPIRIT OF LIFE! Let's speak LIFE over ourselves, our dreams, our families and friends, and over our generation!

Leading Worship this Monday..

This coming Monday, May 4th,  at 7pm I will be leading worship on the CBN.com Spiritual gifts webcast. It will be a new experience for me! My good friend, Isa, will be helping me lead! So if you think of it please say a prayer for us Monday night. Pray that the Lord's presence would be heavy. Without HIM we are just a bunch of songs. ~Myrrh

Some beautiful moments

Yesterday was a great day. From the moment I stepped outside I knew it was going to be beautiful. The air was warm and it felt great on my skin. I went to work and was responsible for producing a summary of the outdoor chapels that are happening here at CBN. Gordon talked about revivalists of old and how we need to stay on fire in our relationship with God. After work I went on a long bike ride at the beach. My friend Amy lives close to the water. I can't tell you how refreshing it felt to have my muscles ache and feel the blood pumping in my body. On the drive home, the windows were down and tons of warm air was passing through. I couldn't help but thank God for all my many blessings. The simple things: having a car to drive, a creative job, great friends, an amazing family. I always tell God I never want to take for granted the blessings He's given me. So thanks God, thanks for everything that is and is to come!

I'm ready now...

I'm listening to Desperation Bands, "I'm ready now," and my heart is like, "Ya, I'm ready!"
So most times we think we're ready but we're really not! funny how that works! But now, I REALLY AM READY!! I don't know what that looks like. I wish I knew. I do know that I feel doors closing but I haven't seen new ones open yet. I'm ready for adventure. I'm ready to step out in faith. I'm ready to move. I'm ready to love. I'm ready for God to reveal Himself to me in ways that I've never known before. I have such a sense that something is getting ready to happen but I have NO IDEA what that is. Ya never know what my next post will be!! :)

Wild Goose Chase

I've been reading this book called, "Wild Goose Chase," by Mark Batterson. I picked it up from my bro-in-laws office because it looked interesting. My time in Minnesota ended too fast and I never got a chance to read it. I was going to leave it behind but he told me to take it because it just might be what i need to read at just the right time. Boy was he right!! And I'm not even done with the book yet! Here are just a few of Mark Batterson's quotes that have resonated with me...

"Jesus didn't die to make us safe. He died to make us dangerous...when was the last time you asked Him to make you dangerous?"

"The soul lives by that which it loves." ~St John of the Cross

"When it comes to doing the will of God, God-ordained passions are far more important than any human qualification we can bring to the table."

"What passion of mine is God asking me to take responsibility for?"

"You never know how God ordained desires will be conceived."

"We take constants for granted and God is the ultimate constant."

"In fact, spiritual maturity has less to do with long-range visions than it does with moment-by-moment sensitivity to the promptings of the Holy Spirit."

"The only way to discover a new identity is to lay down an old one." Ex- moses laying down his staff at the burning bush.

"Logic questions God. Faith questions assumptions. And at the end of the day, faith is trusting God more than you trust your own assumptions."

I'm Back

I just got back from visiting my sister, sam and new niece Abby! I had sooooo much fun and it was very difficult coming back to VA. I had not seen them all since before Sarah got pregnant and it was so refreshing hugging them all. It's amazing to me how fast you can fall in love with a new baby. She has the most amazing faces and I am looking forward to seeing her grow and become all that God has destined for her to be.
